Hii Guyz..
I recently moved to Akron for my new job..I am staying alone right now and it totally sucks to be alone..Anyone living in and around Akron/Fairlawn area are ready to meet up some time..I am up for it.
Also if anyone is willing to share their apartment in Hunts club or anywhere close by that would be great..

So I hear that a lot of you guys say that cleveland sucks and there is nothing really to do here for indians and that to specially in winter. Well it all depends what you guys are planning to do, of course it sucks if you moved from south. But other than that, if you have lived in an area where it snows, you can go skiing for a change, there are vineyards you can visit. They even recently opened Bamboo Garden (Desi Chinese Place) in north olmsted. You can go see desi movies.
I live on the westside and would love to get-together with you folks. We already have a decent size group but the more the better. There is a lot to do in Cleveland for desi, just have to look around. There are indian organizations here who holds different events from time to time. That could be a great way you guys who can't find things to do, to actually meet others and get to know them.
For guys, I am in a cricket leauge and if anyone of you is interested in playing cricket, please do let me know. The league goes on during summer month.
I can go on and on about things to do, but this is a good starter i hope so. |

Hey,
you caught my attention by the words "I am in a cricket leauge and if anyone of you is interested in playing cricket, please do let me know. The league goes on during summer month. "
I used to play a lot of cricket back in India and after coming here, am looking for such cricket groups. Would be great if you can introduce me/provide info to this league.
By the way, we (my wife and I) came to US, that too in Cleveland 3 months back, so while we are currently in the exploring phase, looking forward to meet lots of new people. Our hobbies include music - both playing instruments and singing, travelling a lot, sports - tennis, cricket, badminton, and adventures on and off. So if any like minded people here, pls get in touch on d1i2p3@hotmail.com
Cheers.... |

Janta:
Finally some folks who aren't cry-babies and figure out things to do rather than blame everyone else for their misery.
Folks that want to play badminton Cleveland has the oldest badminton club in US.
Shaker Badminton Club
Woodbury Elementary School Gym
15400 South Woodland Rd.
Shaker Heights, OH 44120
Sun @ 10 am-12:30 pm, Mon & Wed @ 8:15-10:15 pm
Contact:
Dave Cumming 216-932-3426
Call Dave to confirm timing and location. Do note the club expects serious play and not general time-pass socialing.

Hello Dip
I will email you my information at the address you gave and we chat further more about the league and everything along those lines. We will soon be starting indoor practice in the batting cages, so that might be a perfect time for you to come out. And mind you we play with the season ball, just letting you know because sometimes people think we play we tennis because we are in america.
Also let me know where you live and since you and wife are new to the town we can certainly hang out and stuff with our friends. |
