Hi,
I will be moving with my wife to Cleveland in Feb 2010 and I was wondering if anyone could guide me a place where we a lot of desi's live....?
I will be working in Solon but have not found too many apts in there....
Do you know how the beachwood area is...more specifically the hamptons/east haven apts?

Hi Guys... I have been in Cleveland for like 6 months ... staying with a local family in Solon... nice place...but want to move into a individual house or townhome...
Wanted to check if you have any experience with -
Pepperwood Townhomes, Mayfield heights.....
I have visited the place 3-4 times... seems pretty stable, fairly clean place.. but the reviews (as old as jan-2009) were not good about the place....So kind of confused..!
If you have any experience about this place... please do tell.... |

I would suggest you to find an apartment in Solon itself, there is good desi community here and very few kallu's. If you are moving towards downtown, lots of kallu's will be there. Solon is safe and also has a decent desi grocery store. Sunny's Asian food & spices run by a sardar. You may find good apartments at Solon like Solon park apartments, Liberty hill apartments and is very close to solon community center (sort of health club) at very nominal fee@just $1/day for whole family. Its your wish then to move far from office and spend on gas and waste time in traffic.
Solon has: Walmart, Target, Kohl's , Marcs, Giant Eagle, Pizza hut, Domino's, Chipotle, Great clips, Dunkin donuts, best schools, etc.

I have stayed in Solon from past 5-6months... after a long time i stayed with a Indian family.. with a very small community having more than 5 indian families...(individual homes)
Well it is anyways quite un-reasonable to expect to have any interaction with neighbors... or even see them!
I must say it is good that we don't !... So whats different it makes if neighbor is Indian or not... having said that I know some sections in every city are quite unstable.... and have to watch out for them... but Mayfield is fairly good...with much more places to shop...!!! So i ain't gettin any crazy abt "solon", "twinsberg"...
Again i would appreciate if someone can give some reviews about pepperwood Townhomes (not the apartments!)... |
